Hype Hair Magazine

📓The Project:

Hype Hair is one of the longest-running hair and beauty publications dedicated to Black hair, style, and beauty. After being acquired by beauty mogul Lia Dias, the publication needed a fresh, cohesive visual identity and digital presence that honored its legacy while charting a bold new direction.

The goal of this project was to to reimagine Hype Hair’s look and feel, creating a platform that celebrates Black womanhood with authenticity, style, and authority. The result was a brand transformed into a modern, digitally-native experience that still carries the cultural weight and credibility of its storied past.

📦 The Deliverables:

  • Full WordPress build for the new Hype Hair website.

  • Conceptualized updated editorial direction to unify content and storytelling.

  • Developed visual elements that strengthen the brand’s identity across digital channels.

  • Crafted a design and digital framework that positions Hype Hair as a contemporary leader in beauty and culture while honoring its history.
