“The Shop” by The Frontal Queen

📓The Project:

The Frontal Queen, an LA-based hair salon and D2C retail brand specializing in frontal lace wigs and haircare, needed a brand presence for a pop-up activation at L.A.’s Black On The Block festival. The goal was to establish a Juneteenth-focused Black haircare experience that could also serve as a versatile, evergreen concept for future IRL events.

📦 The Deliverables:

  • Conceptualization and naming of “The Shop” activation.

  • Design of a brand identity that integrates seamlessly into The Frontal Queen’s existing universe.

  • Visual system inspired by 90s/00s thematic elements, highlighting the hair salon as a time-honored, sacred space for Black women.

  • Responsive branding adaptable to multiple pop-up activations and trade show environments.
